LMC - The Leadership Master Class for European Media Executives

In the rapidly expanding world of media and communications, LMC will meet the need for high-level executive leadership to capitalize on the global opportunities in the media sector. As the next generation of leaders is already busily employed in the growth of their organizations, LMC needs to be geared to immediate results.

LMC features a rigorous pre-course preparation process, including reading and evaluation, as well as follow-up activities at the onemonth, three-month and six-month stage. The focus of LMC is on strategic thinking and planning; understanding the changing world of media; application of leadership practices; branding and market positioning; personal leadership style; human resources, change & innovation leadership; integrating television & media industry processes; building asset value through sustainable strategy and/or alliances, mergers & acquisitions; as well as providing networking and other professional development experiences.

LMC will draw on extensive international industry expertise in its core faculty and guest executives.

LMC is designed to develop entrepreneurial, strategic leadership and management skills, to enable participants to strengthen their organizations and to better meet the challenges of the evolving global marketplace.

LMC is the brainchild of Pat Ferns and Doug Macnamara, who developed the hugely successful Alliance Atlantis Banff Television Executive Program, and have since formed The International Institute for Television Leadership, which provides similar programs in Asia, Australia and North America. In partnership with Alexander Thies of NFP, they have now created Banff Europe, which in turn joins with International Academy of Media and Arts Halle to offer the Leadership Master Class for European Media Executives.

LMC was realised with the International Academy of Media and Arts and Banff Europe from 2006 to 2008. This workshop is followed-up from 2009 by the European Media Executive Leadership Programme (EMELP) at etma in Strasbourg.
